- Answer and direct phone calls using a multi-line phone system - Schedule appointments for patients and manage the appointment calendar - Greet patients and check them in upon arrival - Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees - Maintain patient records and update information as needed - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents - Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists - Follow up with patients regarding medical information
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required - Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Proficient in using computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR) - Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting.
